World's largest Gold Coin

In 2012 the Perth Mint cast the world's largest gold bullion coin. The coin weighs 1,012 kilograms and is made from 99.99 per cent pure gold. It is 31 inches wide, more than 4.7 inches thick, and took some 18 months to manufacture.
It is the biggest, heaviest and inherently most valuable gold bullion coin in the world.

The coin claimed the title from the Royal Canadian mint which produced five 22.5 pound (100 kg - 3,215 troy ounces) coins in 2007.
